The first time Sergio Mora & Vernon Forrest met on a conference call the words got heated and things were blazing hot. This weeks call was tame in comparison but there were a couple items of note that I thought I would bring to your attention before you listen to the audio.

First, I admire my Hispanic media peers but is it really necessary for them to ask every fighter they talk to if he wants to fight Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.? Trust me, Sergio Mora has no intention of fighting Jr. and they should be happy Sergio fielded that lame question so well. Look, Chavez Jr. is an over hyped, fat lazy spoiled brat who can't get past has been bums without help from the judges. Sergio doesn't want to fight him, Oscar doesn't want to fight him, no one wants to fight him, now give it a rest.

Second, the last time I checked Vernon Forrest is a 37 year old former Champ who doesn't need anyone's help fielding questions from the media. Why Jeff Wald chose to jump in and answer my second question directed to Forrest before Vernon could spit out one syllable is beyond me. But I will tell you this, it's got me thinking about Wald's answer and my gut tells me I caught Wald trying to cover something up, you be the judge.

Former World Champion Vernon Forrest looks for redemption against a young World Champion Sergio "The Latin Snake" Mora, who is looking to solidify his spot amongst the top super welterweights in the world. Mora-Forrest II, a 12-round co-featured bout to the highly anticipated Joel Casamayor vs. Juan Manuel Marquez showdown.
