final preparations at Extreme 2 Fitness Center in Tampa,
Florida. Focused on his up coming showdown for the WBC
Light Welterweight title against the undefeated Timothy
“Desert Storm” Bradley (22-0, 11 KO’s). live on Showtime
Championship Boxing, the co-main event for the
Lightweight war between Nate Campbell vs. Joan Guzman
live from Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, Miss.
Cherry capturing a great 10th round KO win against
veteran Stevie Johnston his last outing looking for this
great opportunity to fight for the world title at the
140 lbs. division.
Cherry: “I thank the Lord for me being here giving me
the opportunity to show my talents and fight on
September 13th. I am in great shape my team at Starfight
put in a lot of very hard work and hours getting me
ready for this fight”.
“I truly want to win this for all of us, There is no
doubt in my mind about this I come to win.” I thank
Andre Berto for giving me 28 rounds of hard work and
sparring for this fight in addition to the other
intensive training”.
“I am not taking anything from Timothy Bradley, I
respect that he is the Champion and I am coming to

Cherry: “Watching the young kids come in to the gym everyday
drives me to be an example to them, I certainly want to show
them the harder you work you can accomplish your dreams”.
“I am focused and well prepared, I do not plan on changing much
what I do in the ring, I have been working successfully and I
feel real good about that. I give a lot of credit to my trainer
Pete Fernandez, He has been pushing me to were no man has gone
in the gym”.
Cherry: “The WBC World title to me is not just any title belt,
It will be an honor to fight for such a title and to be named
with other great Champions, I am taking this very serious”.
